X-mas swap, Owl mitts y Bolsa para labores (muy pequeñitas)

En Navidad participé en otro swap del grupo de Ravelry de Susan Ashcroft, Stitchnerds.
Y esta vez como tenía más tiempo me animé a tejer algo para mi amiga sorpresa.

Este fue el resultado.

Unos suaves mitones con unos buhos, en Malabrigo Ríos color Aguas. ¿No os encantan?

Tuve que modificar un poco el patrón y añadí un montón de vueltas de elástico en la parte superior, porque si no no me cubría ni la mano ni el dedo, pero no fué muy complicado de adaptar. Los detalles, en mi proyecto de Ravelry.

Agujas: 4.0 mm

Hilo / lana: Malabrigo Rios color Aguas

Cantidad: 0.42 madejas; 88 yardas (80 m)

Patrón: Who's owl mitts de Mareike Neumann

Hay quien  dice que los mitones no son útiles porque los dedos se enfrían, pero a mi me parecen de lo más útil para poder hacer cosas sin tener que quitarte los guantes.

Mirad por Dios, que buhos más monos...




Además intenté hacerle una bolsita para llevar la labor, pero calculé mal y me quedó un poco pequeña, aunque le puede ser útil para llevar cosas pequeñas en el bolso, como el maquillaje o unos lapiceros. También iban dos madejitas de esta lana en color "teal" que es uno de los favoritos de mi amiga sorpresa.



Aquí la veis cerrada con un enorme botón.



En el paquete iban más cositas (botones, marcadores, turrón, chocolate, té, una velita con un portavelas navideño, un labial con aroma a violeta...) pero no tengo fotos cuquis del resto del contenido así que os aguantáis sin verlas. :)

Back to school swap y bolsitas para labores

En Septiembre participé en un intercambio del grupo de Ravelry de Susan Ashcroft, Stitchnerds. Es un grupo de gente fantástico, superdicharareras todas y de los mejores grupos que he encontrado en Ravelry.

El tema del intercambio era "La vuelta al cole", así que después de bucear por Ravelry viendo que cosas le podían gustar a mi sorprendida, esto es lo le que hice.

¿Os acordáis de la bolsita de labores que os mostraba el otro día? Pues le hice una con una telita otoñal, que me recordaba la vuelta al cole. Creo que me quedó bastante mona.

El paquete también llevaba una pequeñita labor de punto, porque a mi sorprendida le gustan los dishcloths, esas toallitas pequeñas que tanto se usan para limpiar en otros países. Suelen hacerse de algodón y ser de forma cuadrada o rectangular, pero esta con forma de hoja me pareció mucho más mona. De hecho os hablaré de ella en otro post.

El paquete también llevaba otro montón de cosas. Dos tabletas de chocolate especial, una latita de té, unos bolis con gatitos, una pastilla de jabón aromático y dos madejas de lana, una de Plucky Fingering y otra de Greta and the fibers.

Espero que a mi amiga sorpresa le gustara todo lo que le envié.

Por mi parte, recibí este fantástico paquete de parte de mi amiga sorpresa.



Contenía un fantástico libro local de cocina, una bolsita de labores, una madeja de lana muy especial, bolsitas de té variadas, unas libretas Moleskine para ir anotando cositas y blocs de notas monísimos, una postal de Colorado, un fat quarter de tela para hacerle una bolsita o algo a mi peque y un maravilloso libro de pegatinas para Roi.
¡Me encantó todo!

Más 15x15...

Creo que me voy a animar de nuevo con los 15x15... ahora que parece que tengo algo más de tiempo. Aún debo alguno, y... me vais a tirar de las orejas pero no encuentro la libretita donde anoté los que envié así que tengo un poco de lío... Así que me gustaría pediros un favor. Aquellas de vosotras que me enviasteis uno y no os llegó el mío por favor decidmelo para que pueda hacéroslo y en cuanto pueda sale para ahí.

I think I am going to start again with the 15x15 blocks... now that it seems that I have some more free time. I still have some to send, and... you are going to be upset at me but I cannot find the notebook where I wrote the ones I did sent, I am in a bit of a mess... Therefore I would like to ask you for a favour. Those of you that sent me one and never received mine please let me know, so that I can do it and send it as soon as possible.

Si alguien más quiere seguir intercambiando, pues poco a poco puedo ir haciendo alguno más... sólo decidmelo.

Swap Zakka

¡Por fin le ha llegado el regalito del swap Zakka a Marga!!! ... claro que... la culpa del retraso es sólo mía porque no pude acabarlo hasta el pasado fin de semana. Pero al menos le ha gustado lo que le envié... a ver que os parece.

Finally Marga has received the goodies of the swap Zakka... of course I am the only one to blame for the delay because I did not manage to finish the work until last weekend. But at least she liked the result... what do you think?

Le envié el bolso rosa que podeis ver en la foto, y un guardallaves de origami y fieltro. Era la primera vez que usaba la técnica de origami y me ha encantado hacerlo. Se hace más rápido de lo que parece y el resultado es bellísimo, ¿os gusta?

I sent the pink tote that you can see in the picture and a keys-keeper in origami and felt. It was the first time I used this technique and I loved it. It is done much faster that you may think at first and the result is really beautiful, do you like it?

Además le envié una tarjeta (lo mío no es el scrap como podeis comprobar), y unos hilos de seda teñidos a mano y una selección de botones.

Also I sent her a card (I am not good with scrap, as you can see), and some silk threads stained by hand, and a selection of buttons.

Me ha encantado participar en este swap, pero las malas noticias son que es muy probablemente el último al que me apunto porque con mi trabajo no puedo comprometerme con estas cosas. Odio hacer esperar a la gente o llegar tarde con este tipo de cosas y me siento muy avergonzada de haber tenido a Marga esperando por su regalo, lo siento de nuevo.

I have liked it a lot to participate in this swap, but the bad news is that it is most probably the last one I do, because with my job I cannot commit to this things. I hate making people wait, or be late with these things and feel really ashamed to have had Marga waiting for it, sorry again.

El domingo recibi el regalo de Issabela del intercambio Zakka organizado por Najma... mirad que preciosidades me envió... No he podido subirlo al blog hasta hoy porque ando liadísima pero estoy entusiasmada con el bolso, y por supuesto ya lo he estrenado.

Last Sunday I received the present by Issabela of the Zakka swap organised by Najma... look at the beauties she sent me... I could not upload it to the blog till today because I have loads of work but I am completely in olve with the bag, and of course I have already started using it.

Me envió tambien un cubretetera y unos posavasos de fieltro monísimos y unos hilos de bordar antiguos y unas telitas lilas, que me encantaron. Los hilos tienen historia, podéis leer acerca de ellos aquí, en el blog de Issabela.

She also sent me a teapot cover and two coasters made with felt, really beautiful, and some antique embroidery floss, and some violet fabrics, that I really liked. The floss has some history... you can read about it here, at Issabela's blog.



En cuanto a mi regalo para mi amiga invisible del intercambio aún esta en proceso, casi no tengo tiempo para la aguja... snif! Lo siento de veras, pero en cuanto pueda lo envío, pues el bolso esta casi terminado, le faltan los últimos retoques. Ay, que rabia me da no cumplir los plazos, pero es que trabajando 240 horas al mes, solo trabajo, como y duermo... :(((... Gracias por vuestros ánimos, y por seguir leyéndome. :)

As for my present for my secret friend in the swap, it is still in process, I hardly find the time to sew... snfi! I am really sorry, but I will send it as soon as I can manage, since the bag it is almost finished, just some final details missing. Ouch, I feel really bad of not matching the deadlines, but working 240 hours a month, I just work, eat and sleep... :(((... Thanks for your support and for keeping on following me. :)

Mas telitas lilas

También me ha llegado este pedido de hilos de seda para un proyecto muy especial, en cuanto avance un poco os lo enseñaré... el hilo que usaré es del que veis más cantidad, los otros los pedí para proyectos chiquitos y tener algo de variedad... son increiblemente bonitos, brillan y todo... tengo unas ganas de empezar a bordar con ellos... :)

I also received this shipment with silk floss for a very special project, as soon as I can I will show you the progress... the floss I will use is the one you can see there is more amount, the others I ordered them to have some variety and do small projects... they are incredibly beautiful, they glow... I am looking forward to start stitching with them... :)


Tengo otro post pendiente en el que quiero contaros mi fin de semana pasado, no tengo tiempo para nada, ya veis pero a ver si me da tiempo mañana de subirlo antes de coger el avión. ¡Me voy a Barcelona!... a pasar el fin de semana con mi maridín que se viene de Italia y quedamos alli... fin de semana romanticón... así que nos vemos a la vuelta, si no escribo mañana ;))))))

I have another post pending in which I want to tell you about last weekend, I am not having much time nowadays, you see, but I will try to write tomorrow morning before I catch my plain. I am going to Barcelona!... to spend the weekend with my dear husband that comes from Italy and we will meet there... romantic weekend... so, see you on sunday night, if not tomorrow :;))

¡Y un bloquecito de Vero!

Y tambien me ha llegado un bloquecito de Vero... el del Intercambio 15x15 organizado por Nuria Madurell en su blog. Vero y yo ibamos a vernos en Sitges pero al final no pudo ser y quedamos en enviarnoslos por correo... a que es una monada de bloquecito... y venía con una tarjetita preciosa y muy dulce. ¡Gracias Vero! Enseguida te envío el mío.

And also I received today a block from Vero... the one of the Swap 15x15 organised by Nuria Madurell in her blog. Vero and I were supposed to meet in Sitges but at the end it was not possible and we decided to exchange it over snail mal... isn´t it cute?... and it came with a beautiful and sweet card. Thanks Vero! I will send mine soon.

Telitas lilas

¡Hoy me llegaron los dos primeros sobres con telitas lilas! Me los enviaban Pili y Ángela. Unas telas preciosas... aquí podéis verlas, las de Pili a la izquierda y las de Ángela a la derecha. ¡Gracias guapas! Las mías saldrán en unos días... cuando pueda acercarme a correos, ahora que ya puedo salir de casa (me han dado el alta, ya estoy mejor).

Today I received the first 2 envelopes with violet fabrics! They were sent by Pili and Ángela. Beautiful fabrics... you can see them here, the ones from Pili on the left and the ones from Ángela on the right. Mine will be sent in a few days... when I can make it to the post office, now that I can get out of the house (my doctor allows me to go to work again, I feel better now).

Castles in the Air

Como no me llegaba con todo a lo que estoy apuntada hace unos días me llegó el material para empezar un nuevo SAL Misterio que organiza Papillon Creations y que va a durar 2 años.

It was not enough with all the SALs I am in, and few days ago I received the material to start a new Mistery SAL organized by Papillon Creations that will last 2 years

Lo vi en el blog de María, Pequeños Tesoros a Punto de Cruz, y me pudo la curiosidad. ¿Sería yo capaz de hacer tantos puntos especiales?... Pues si no lo intento nunca lo sabré, me dije... Así que me apunté.

I saw it in María's blog, Pequeños Tesoros a Punto de Cruz, and curiosity was stronger. Would I be able to do so many specialty stitches?... Well, if I did not try, I will never know, I said to myself... So, I enlisted.

Os enseño aquí la tela, un Belfast Country Cream 32ct, y los hilos, todos de DMC (algunos los escoge la diseñadora y otros de elección propia), aunque me falta el plateado que no lo tenía cuando saqué la foto. ¡¡¡¡Y lo que veis en el papel es "sólo" el primer objetivo!!!!

I am showing you here the fabric, Belfast Country Cream 32ct, and the floss, all DMC (some are chosen by the designer and other are free choice), though I am missing the silver thread, that I did not have when I took the picture. And what you see in the paper is "just" the first objective!!!!

En unos días os mostraré mis avances... ya que como dicen... "en casa de herrero, cuchillo de palo", y despues de una semana autotratandome el resfriado como buena médico de familia que no quiere molestar a su médico de cabecera, he tenido finalmente que ir a su consulta y el resultado es una bronquitis que me impide salir de casa unos días. Cama, leche caliente, antibioticos... y si puedo a ratitos algo de bordado... (aunque no aguanto mucho, me duele la cabeza de toser... cof, cof...).

In a few days I will show you my progress... because as they say "the taylor's wife is the worst clad", and after a whole week self-treating my cold as a good family doctor who does not want to give her own family doctor work, I finally had to go to the clinic to be visited, and the result is that I have a bronchitis that won´t let me leave the house for a few days. Bed, hot milk, antibiotics... and if I can, every now and then, some stitching... (though I can´t do for too long, I have headache of coughing... cof, cof...).

Y aquí en chiquito... una foto de las telitas lilas, que cuando me cure y pueda salir de casa, saldrán para su destino, algunas acompañadas tambien de un bloque del intercambio 15x15 de Nuria Madurell.

Mi pajarillo llegó a Italia...

Estos días he tenido tan poco tiempo que no he subido las fotos de los regalitos que le envié a Ana Elizabeth en el swap Birdie Hanger. Ahora ya puedo decir que le han llegado y que le han gustado y me envio hace unos días un email precioso, lleno de cariño, dándome las gracias. Ana, eres un amor.

These days I have been so busy that I did not upload yet the photos of the presents I sent to Ana Elizabeth in the swap Birdie Hanger. Now I can say that she has received them and she liked them and she sent me a few days ago a sweet email, full of friendship, thanking me. Ana, you are a sweetie.

This is what I sent but you can see it better in the pictures she uploaded to her blog Anapetit-mis manualidades, here the fabric, and chocolate, ribbons, a Sarah Kay kit of x-stitching, a fridge magnet and rice paper and paper serviettes for decoupage, and all together.

Pajarillo recibido...

¡Me ha llegado el pajarito del swap Birdie Hanger!! Una preciosidad... :))) Y a que no sabeis quien me lo enviaba... nada menos que Najma, me siento superafortunada. Aquí teneis las fotos, para que veais las preciosidades que me envió...

I have received the little bird from the Birdie Hanger swap!! A real beauty... :) and guess who sent it... Najma, I am so lucky... Here you can see the photos so that you can check the beauties she sent me...

El pajarillo es una monada y ya está decorando mi salón, colocado en el tirador de la vitrina de las copas, ¡queda genial!... y venía acompañado en su viaje por un gatito amigurumi, idéntico a mi gatito Miko ;)

The little bird is really cute and it is already decorating my living room, hanging on the door of the cabinet where I store my cups, looks great there!... and he came all the way with a little amigurumi cat, just like my Miko kitten ;)

Además había un montón de agujas, ¡de tamaños que ni sabía que existían!, alfileres de patchwork de colores, incienso con olor a jazmin mmmmmmmnnnnnnnn :)))), una telita de flores y otra para bordar punto de cruz en un color muy bonito, como arena, botones, una tarjeta de scrap monisima, llena de colorido... y una carta taaaaan linda.... que enseguida me puse en contacto con Najma para agradecerle todo lo que me envió, es un solete.... tengo unas ganas de que nos conozcamos en persona, algún día....

Besides, there was a lot of needles, in sizes I did not know they existed!, patchwork pins in colours, jasmin scented incense mmmmmmmmmmnnn :)))), flowers fabric and another fabric for X-stitching in a beautiful sandy colour, some buttons, a scrap colourful card... and such a niiiiiiiiiice letter.... that I inmediately got in touch with Najma to thank her all the things she sent, she is soooo nice... I am looking forward to meet her in person, some day...

Ah... y mi paquete del swap ha salido hoy a su destino.... un poquito lejos de aquí, espero que le llegue a mediados de semana... ojalá le guste a su destinataria, aunque no estoy muy satisfecha con el resultado del pajarito... espero que el resto de las cositas le gusten ;)

Ah... and my package from the swap just left today for its destination... a bit far from here, I hope she receives it mid-week... and hope she will like it, though I am not quite satisfied with the result of the bird... hope she will like the rest of the stuff at least ;)

Sitges y... compritas :))

Os muestro mis compritas en la feria de Sitges... Una cajita con hilos de Gutterman para acolchar a mano en colores variados (para toda una vida jeje)..., un lapiz para marcar tela para bordar, unas tijeritas de bordar, alfileres finos de cabeza plana para la maquina de coser, un lapiz amarillo para las telas oscuras, fieltro teñido a mano, un kit de Vent du Sud de punto de cruz que fue un éxito en la feria (Julia tambien se lo compro jeje), y otro kit para hacer un costurerito en fieltro precioso.

I show you what I bought in Sitges... A box with Gutterman threads for hand quilting in several colours (for all my life haha)..., a pencil for marking fabric for embroidery, emboridery sccissors, thin pins with flat head for the sewing machine, a yellow pencil to mark dark fabrics, hand dyed felt, a kit by Vent du Sud of x-stitch that was a success in the trade fair (Julia also bought it), and anothe kit to make a little sewing pochette in felt.



Y esto me lo compré en Niceworks, en la tienda que tienen en Premià de Dalt. Botones, un libro de origami, un dedal de acolchar (de mi talla!!!), y unas tijeras grandes especiales para tela.

And this I bought in Niceworks, in the shop they have in Premià de Dalt. Buttons, a book on origami, a thimble for quilting (in my size!!!), and big scissors, special for cutting fabric.

Encuentro con Isa...

Ayer por la tarde conocí a Isa del blog El blog de Isa, que aprovechando que se venía de compras a Santiago con una amiga, quedó conmigo para intercambiar en persona nuestro bloquecito del intercambio 15x15. Es un encanto, y las tres pasamos un ratito superagradable tomando un café y planeando kedadas entre las blogueras gallegas ;)

Yesterday afternoon I met Isa from El blog de Isa, that since she was coming along with a friend to Santiago for shopping, we met to exchange in person our 15x15 blocks. She is a sweetie, and the three of us spent a nice time having a coffee and planning meetings among the galician bloggers ;)

Mirad que bloque tan bonito me dio... y qué os voy a decir del broche (ya los había visto en su blog aquí y me habian parecido una monada), y además es rosa!!!! Luego me trajo también unos botones artesanales de los que venden en Quiltart, donde va ella a clases de pacthwork que son una monada. ¡Gracias Isa!

Look what a beautiful block she gave me... and what to say of the brooch (I had already seen them in her blog here and I liked them a lot back then), and it is pink!!! Then she brought me also some pretty buttons of those you can buy in Quiltart, where she goes to her patchwork lessons. Thanks Isa!


Y aquí os pongo unas fotos de los bloquecitos que yo he terminado por ahora... espero que os gusten porque la verdad lo de bordar es totalmente nuevo para mi. Isa se llevó el azulito de la derecha, asi que el verde del gatito aún está libre para intercambiar... los siguientes aun no sé como los haré porque me lleva más tiempo bordarlos que hacer el aplicado.

And here you can see some pictures of the blocks I have finished for now... I hope you like them because to tell the truth embroidery is something new for me. Isa took the blue one on the right so the green one with the little cat in still free for exchanging in Sitges... the next ones I am not yer sure how I will make them, it will depend of the time I have because it takes more time to embroider them than to do the appliqué.

Punto de encuentro en Sitges

Ya va quedando menos para Sitges... que ganas tengo ya de ir... mientras tanto sigo liada con los bloques del 15x15. Para las que vais y participais de los intercambios y/o encuentros:

Intercambio Block 15x15

Al final me he decidido a participar en el Intercambio Block 15x15 organizado por Nuria Madurell. No lo había hecho antes porque no estaba segura de si iba a ir a Sitges y me daba cosa apuntarme en mas historias... pero... como es muy posible que al final vaya (mañana lo decido seguro) pues nada, ¡de cabeza a la piscina! Supongo que no me dará tiempo a hacer los 15 bloques pero si alguien quiere intercambiar alguno solo tiene que dejarme un post y se puede hacer a posteriori.

Finally I have decided to participate in the swap Block 15x15 organised by Nuria Madurell in her blog. I had not decided before because I was not sure that I could make it to Sitges and I was being cautious with enlisting in more stuff... but... since it is quite possible that I finally go there (tomorrow I make the decission), well, I said to myself, let's go for it! I guess I won´t be able to do all 15 blocks for Sitges but if somebody wants to exchange one, just leave a post and we can do it later on as well.

Swap Birdie Hanger

Najma organiza en su blog un nuevo swap. Se trata de enviar a nuestra compañera de swap pájaros precursores de una primavera que se desea después de tanta nieve y frio... podeis ver el resto de las reglas del swap en el blog de Najma. Regalo de Navidad

Por fin ayer pude abrir mi regalito de Navidad del swap organizado por El Rincón de Paloma. ¡Qué emoción! Pues fue mi primer regalo de este año, ya que en mi familia somos un poco raritos y como el día que estamos todos juntos es el día de fin de año pues nos damos los regalos unos a otros ese día despues de las uvas, jeje... ¡pero este llegó por adelantado!
Me lo envió Loli de Santa Cruz de Tenerife del blog Taller de Loli y me envía unas cosas tan preciosas que no se si las fotos les harán justicia pero ahi van.

Yesterday I could finally open my present from the swap organised by El Rincón de Paloma. How much fun! Since it was my first present this year, because my family, we are a bit weird and since the day we are all together is on x-mas eve, well, we exchange presents that day after eating the grapes, hehe... but this one came in advance!
It was sent by Loli from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, from the blog Taller de Loli, and she sent me so beautiful things that I am not quite sure the pictures will be fair to the reality. Anyway there you have.

Había una tarjeta con una carta preciosa, unas cintas variadas, varios hilos de bordar (uno que olía a fresas, otro de la colección variations, otro metalizado y dos normales), un rotulador permanente, unos abalorios y unas estrellitas, unas pinzas con Papa Noeles, una cinta de navidad de Papa Noel, unos trozos de fieltro, un aparato para hacer yoyos, un alfiletero PRECIOSO, unas telas ESPECTACULARES. De una de ellas os pongo la foto entera pues es una monada y tenéis que verla entera.

There was a card with a beautiful letter, some laces, several threads for embroidery (one smelling like strawberry, other from the Variations collection, another metalized and two normal), a permanent marker, some bead and stars, some pins with Papa Noel, a X-mas lace with Papa Noel, some pieces of felt, a yoyo-maker, a BEAUTIFUL pincushion and some SPECTACULAR fabrics. Of one of them I wanted to put a picture of it because it is really beautiful and you must see it complete.

También os puedo enseñar ya lo que yo le envié en el mismo swap a Vero, de Las cosas de Vero, y que espero le hayan gustado también: le envié una pulsera de cristales de Swaroski, un guardatijeras y guardaagujas hechos a mano y luego unos trozos de tela, fieltro, hilos de bordar y acolchar, botones, agujas, y unas cintas.

I also can show you now the things I sent in the same swap to Vero, from Las cosas de Vero, and that I hope she liked them as well: I sent a bracelet of swaroski crystals, a scissor-keeper and a needler-keeper all made by hand, and some pieces of fabric, felt, embroidery and quilting thread, buttons, needles and some laces.

Regalo misterioso...

¡Adivinad que!... Acabo de llegar de casa de mi suegra de celebrar el cumpleaños de mi suegro y alli me esperaba un sobre gordote lleno de regalitos! Y muy misterioso.... porque no traia remite ni carta ni datos de quien los enviaba...

Guess what!... I just arrived home from my mother-in-law's where we celebrated my father-in-law's birthday and there it was, waiting for me, a big fat envelope full of presents! And very misterious... because it had no from: address nor a letter nor data of who was sending it...

Al abrirlo... sorpresa! Una libreta alterada de fieltro! Junto con otros preciosos regalitos: un llaverito de fieltro en forma de sombrero, un guardaagujas con dos tubitos de agujas de acolchar (del numero 11!!! son tan chiquitas! no las habia conseguido aqui aun... las mas pequeñas que tenia creo que eran del numero 8, que ilusion me han hecho!), y unos retalitos de telas superalegres!

When opening it... surprise! An altered notebook made with felt! Together with some other precious presents: a keyring made with felt in the shape of a hat, a needlekeeper with two tubes with quilting needles (from number 11!!!, they are so small! I had not got those here yet... the smaller I have I think they are number 8, it was so nice to receive them!), and some patchs of very cheerful fabrics!

Y me acabo de dar cuenta, al subir la foto del intercambio de Najma que no habia llegado a poneros tampoco la de lo que le envie a Verónica de Perú en el intercambio organizado por Emilia! Que cabeza la mia, aunque con este mes que llevo...

Pues aqui lo teneis, le hice un bolsito de patchwork (el primero que hago buf!) y le envie tambien alguna cosilla más: una revista de punto, unas cintas y unos botones... Me hubiera gustado enviarle mas cosillas pero la verdad no tuve mucho tiempo este mes... asi tengo todo atrasadisimo... ¿Que os parece el bolso?

So here it is, I made a patchwork tote (my first one, buf!), and I also sent some more things: a knitting magazine, some ribbons and buttons... I would have liked to send something more but to be honest I had not much time this month... that is how I have all so delayed... But what do you think of the bag?
